Max's new playland

This past Saturday, my neighbor and I took a rocky, useless area between our houses and made our boys a new play space.

After a little digging, a few hours and about a half dozen trips to Lowe's,

Max and Cosimo had a new tricycle speedway.

Vroom.

A perfect birthday: fish, family and cake

Spent my 30-ahem-somethingish birthday last weekend with my family at the Seattle Aquarium, where we are now official members! Nothing better than quality time with our little fish monger.

Afterwards, Max "tried his hand" at some of grandma's famous carrot cake.

The doc said Max's development is simply "awesome." He even gained 2 big pounds since his November check-up.
