Happy Halloweenie

We kicked off a weeklong Halloween celebration with a trip to a neighborhood party at a nearby park.

Together we were the Greene Family Snack Shack. However, it took some work to get our cheeseburger on the menu. He much preferred his "spooky, scary, bad bat with gray wings" outfit.

And yes, that's verbatim how Max referred to his costume for the last two weeks.

To the pictures!

Home sold home

Elisa and the boys are back after two weeks in Spokane while our house went on the market. While they were at Grandma and Grandpa Ridley's house they...

Learned to stand a creep around,

Learned how to play the trumpet and how to be patient while someone learned to play they trumpet,

And learned how awesome grandparents and great grandmas are at spoiling their grandkids with treats, TV, their first trip to the movie theatre (Max and Pop Pop at Monsters University) and of course, how great it is to spend time with family.

But maybe even better than all that, we all learned that our house sold in just five days over asking price. With an extra special rent-back agreement, we'll be able to stay in our old house through the end of December.

It was a great two weeks for the Greenes and Ridleys!

Our home

Our little bungalow is officially on the market: http://www.windermere.com/listing/20094776/

We've been working really hard to get it ready.  The proof is in the before and after pictures of Max's room.

Regardless of what happens, we hope the next owners find as much love and happiness as we did at 1121.

Fly buy

My jet-setters are off to Spokane for two weeks giving me a half-month window to sell our house.

Keep your fingers crossed for us.

I can see clearly now

Stigmatiasms in both eyes, mild near-sightenedness and occasional headaches all added up to Max getting glasses. So far he loves them and says he can see much better.

He picked out a blue pair for everyday wear

And a back-up brown pair like his daddy

Looking good...

Real good.

And here's his studious portrait from preschool this morning.

Good to the last drop

Nearly eight years ago to the day Elisa and I met at Bauhaus Coffee for our first date.

The shop is closing and moving to a new location. Before that happens we wanted to pay one more visit and have a couple cups with our little pups.

It's incredible and wonderful how much our lives have changed since that first date.
