2-month check-up: "He's awesome"
Just got done with Max's 2-month check-up. Doc said Max is "awesome." He got three vaccinations today and we got our first look at his percentiles:
Weight - 10lbs 13oz (35%)
Length - 22-1/2" (50%)
Head size - 39.7 cm (50%)
We got ourselves a healthy and happy* baby!

The M-pire
Longtime readers of the Grape will remember our friends Nat & Lindsay were due about a month after we were. Well, Max was close to two weeks early and the Duffy's little Duff decided he wanted to hang out for an extra week, hence the boys are now two months apart.
Mason Edward Duffy was worth the wait.
Here are M&Ms hanging out for the first time.
Not sure they actually took note of one another yet since it seemed one was awake while the other was napping.

Max's new bf
Meet Max's well-coiffed, new best friend -- Cosimo Rome Terranella, who was born last Tuesday to our next-door neighbors, Canuche and Mercy. Max has already asked if he can come over and spend the night!
To those of you who are signed up to receive blog updates via email, my apologies for sending this out in triplicate. That's what I get for trying to blog with a baby in my arms.

Bobblehead Night
It was Ichiro Bobblehead Night at the ballpark yesterday. In honor of that most blessed yearly event, here's some footage of my all-time favorite bobblehead.

Take Max Out to the Ballgame
Last Tuesday, Max saw (scratch that--slept through) his first baseball game. Mom, Grandma and Grandpa Greene and Uncle Adam took in the Mariners thrilling 3-2 extra inning Opening Day win and our little slugger napped the whole way through! Still, we'll credit him with the win. He's 1-0 in his Major League career!
Max, here's where daddy works during the game. "Zzzzzz."
There's a baby under that Mariners blanket, I swear.
Max finally woke up for the post-game visit to dad's office.

Happy Max!
Max is eight weeks old today and we've seen one very notable new development recently. Yes, if you look close you'll notice we've started smiling! The picture above with Grandma Patti is the first one we actually captured on film.
We're looking forward to sharing many, many more.
