Sam is crawling and Max is walking (the dog)

A milestone or two each for the boys this week.

First, Sam saved his first forward crawl for the night I got home from a week-long business trip. We placed a toy in front of him and he crawled to it. He'd previously tried to roll, spin or push himself backwards to his destination.

The video below captures the second or third crawling expedition with Max serving the role has cheerleader.



Speaking of Max and milestones, we'll give him credit for a couple today. He took Winnie for a short walk this morning all by himself. Later in the day he went jogging with me and managed a full mile before retiring to the stroller.

What rhymes with boy?

Max is really into rhymes right now. In honor of this phase and Sam's 8-month birthday, we present to you our little boy full of joy.

What we did with our holiday weekend

We took in the world's game from the front row on the eve of America's birthday.

We of course celebrated 'merica's birthday. 

We watched a parade with our friends, including Ben. 

We made more friends.

We high-fived Darth Vader because why not?!

We hung out with Uncle Rob.

We chilled with Uncle Adam.

We did a little Slip n' Slide.

We spent the night in a tent in our best friend Ben's backyard. 

We jumped in a pool in someone else's backyard. 

And we closed the weekend on the open road.
