Happy 5th Birthday, Max!
Happy 5th Birthday to our happy, crazy, silly, polite, sweet and wonderful little man, Max.
Whether testing out preschool-language jokes:
Max: Knock, knock.
Us: Who's there?
Max: Pooda
Us: Pooda who?
Max: Pooda dooda. [laughs]or listening to him tell Elisa at night that he loves her "to the very last number," Max brings joy to our lives every single day.
We can't wait to see what the year ahead brings.

The party (in the back) is over
Sam had his first haircut a week ago and said goodbye to what his mom referred to as his Neil Diamond 'do. He did great during the cut and only cried once when he almost fell through the firetruck chair.
Luckily the kids' barber was prepared with some bubbles, which always entertain.
The mini mullet is gone and now Sam looks like he's ready to get his MBA.

The 12th Little Man
Max and I celebrated the Seahawks Super Bowl championship with 750,000 or so of our friends today.
We got a taste of the parade route just outside of Century Link Field, but it was a bit too crowded. So, we talked our way into the stadium, and then into the Club section, and then into a great seat at around the 40-yard line for the ceremony. Perhaps it was good karma from all the Skittles that we handed out.
It was a day to remember, and a day I hope Max never forgets.
