Pokémon party prep

The last two nights Max and I have done a couple of craft projects for his Pokémon 8th birthday party.

Thursday we worked on a Pokéball punch board with tissue-paper-covered Solo cups stuffed with prizes. Tonight we made Pikachu Peeps with a little melted chocolate and an edible marker.

Party on!

Ad Men

I put our boys to work recording a line for an upcoming Mariners ad.

They worked for peanuts. Well, it was actually popcorn and M&Ms, but it was a good deal for everyone involved.

Stay tuned in mid-March for their small screen audio debut.

Snow Day!

A few inches of snow overnight meant no school today. The boys took full advantage (along with all the other kids in the neighborhood) and went sledding, made snow angels, had a snow ball fight and created two new friends for Frosty.

Flying high at FanFest

Max was the only one able to make it out to FanFest this year. Well, that is beside me.

And beside me is where he was for the final hour or so of the event after spending the earlier portion with a friend.

The highlight was a trip on the zip line in the outfield, which Max requested and showed no fear on. Check out the video below.

Taco Night & Movie Night

Not sure what's going on in the crazy world outside, but inside our house this evening it's Taco Night & Movie Night.

And all is alright.

Reunited!

We kicked off Cosi's visit with a dinner with all our old friends and neighbors.

The next day we put together a little day of fun for the boys, complete with a trip to the park...

The Flight Museum

Ice cream

Pinball and...

Pokémon cards!

Max's best bud, former neighbor and friend since birth, Cosimo, was in back in town this weekend. He and his family moved to Costa Rica last year and have only been back a couple times since.

Max had been counting down his visit and sleepover for months. Since he was here last July, we've daily heard, "When is Cosimo coming back?"
