Grandma Patti’s next career is babysitting!

Congratulations to my amazing mom, who retired this month after a decade in teaching and before that four decades nursing. 

She was the first licensed, deaf nurse in California. As the article I shared states, "She learned to feel the needs of others," and she spent a career that spanned 55 years doing just that for patients, students, families and co-workers. 

I'm glad Max and Sam had the opportunity to see faculty and students show their appreciation for their grandma at her recent retirement party. 

Now she's got more free time for what's most important... babysitting my kids!
