We had a great three-night getaway to neighboring Vashon Island with our friends John and Trina, their kids Henry and Teddy, their dogs Ronin and Teegan and Aunt Fran. We were in a big house on the beach and we made the most of our proximity to the water.
Sam went first and went face first in the mud.
Then we waved in our friends who came over second on the ferry
Then it was time for some beachcombing

We found crabs!
And rocks that looked like potatoes
And also played a little beach volleyball
We did a hike
Watched John fish
And took lots of family photos!
The boys got to watch one of their parents' favorites movies
A great time had by all!
Oh and we saw the world famous Bike in a Tree!
