My oh Max!

Opening Day is right around the corner. To celebrate the return of the national pastime, I thought I'd share a clip that ran during the tenth inning of our first Spring Training broadcast.

On February 25th Max was only four days old, but he had already clocked in the first of his fifteen minutes (or more) of fame. I'm sure endorsement deals are next!

Seriously, we were really touched to hear the Hall of Famer Dave Niehaus comment on how classy Max's name is. We agree, Dave.

Maxed Out

I like to joke that we'll be able to make a flipbook of Max's life a flipbook with all the pictures we've taken of him. Since 500+ in five weeks are just a few too many to share on this here blog, I will on occasion dump a few of my favorites on you. Enjoy!

The best feeling in the world.

No caption needed.

One of Elisa's favorite pictures of Max.

Polar fleece overalls are the new black.

I think he's checking out a girl walking by in this pic. He's all guy that son of mine.

That post-bath glow.

Perfection.

I know we're biased, but...

Seriously, how cute is this kid?!

Happy 1-Month Birthday to You

Today we busted out the party hats, strapped one onto everyone in the family, including the dog, and celebrated Max's first four weeks!

No kids party is complete without a little cake, or in this case, a cupcake.
(Note to CPS: the candle is unlit)

All the excitement wore this party animal right out.

We've skipped St. Patrick's Day and...

moved straight to Easter.

And we're not happy about it.

Phenom!

It's tough to strap a kid with a with a superlative like "phenomenal" just 19 days into his life. I mean where do you go from there besides like "golden child" or maybe "savior"?! But, the phenom tag is just what his doctor gave him during his two-week check-up.

Dr. Longo said Max's growth rate was "phenomenal" after he packed on two pounds. Babies should be at or near their birth weight by this time and our little phenom is already a pound past that!

Kudos to Max on picking up his dad's love of eating and Elisa for feeding him around the clock.

Big Day for Max

Max had a little procedure done today. Elisa and I are happy to report that everything went perfect. The doctor did a great job making sure Max was comfortable the entire time. Max hardly made a peep during the ten-minute operation. Afterwards, the doctor, who is also a mohel, said a Hebrew blessing of health for Max.

Internet-safe photos are below.

The more things change...

The more they stay the same.
Today I turned 36 and from the looks of things below, not much has changed. The first photo is of my mom and me back in '73. The second photo is my mom and her grandson Max.
Three words: Best. Birthday. Ever.

Bump Update Finale

By request, here is our last Bump Update post. Kudos to Elisa for her strength during pregnancy and childbirth. As well as letting me post these Bump Update photos. You're a good sport, Mama E!
Oh, and doesn't she look great for just having had a baby 12 days ago?!
