Memorial Day getaway

From the Department of Better Late Than Never, I present this three-week-old post that somehow never got posted. Enjoy!

We used the long Memorial Day holiday and the fact the Mariners were on the road to escape for a few days to nearby Vashon Island. 

We rented a house on the beach with our friends who also have two boys. 

The kids had an awesome time exploring the low tides and playing together. The parents had a good time eating, drinking and enjoying the extra set of hands to take care of the kids.

A prosperous Father's Day

I try to teach my boys, and remind myself for that matter, that there's always going to be people with more and less than you in the world. 

However, in these moments I feel like the richest man in the world. 

Ballgame

Year #4 of Little League in the books. Max went out in style collecting a big hit, making a great catch, starting a double play and earning game ball honors in his final game.

2 down, 1 to go

Sam wrapped up his 2nd year of preschool today. It was another great year with Teachers Liz, Anna and Spenser along his friends and little critter buddies. 

PlayGarden concluded with a family circle time sing along and special potluck complete with popsicles. 

Sam has one more year left before he joins his big brother at his big elementary school.
