Walk a mile in my shoes

I've had several great moments as a dad, but yesterday was one of my top 10.
As I was getting ready for soccer last night, Max was busy messing around in our closet. Lo and behold, he wasn't just rummaging around, but looking for shoes to match his outfit...No matter that they were more than a little large. What's more, he put them on all by himself!

Next, he'll be asking for a briefcase.

Tonight, he repeated his performance. Every dinosaur sleeper needs Coach loafers, right?

Halloween fun without a single piece of candy

We made our second annual pilgrimage to the pumpkin patch in Woodinville with Max along with Grandma and Grandpa G. As you can tell from the pics below, it was a perfect fall day drenched in gorgeous late-afternoon light. We managed an hour of fun before our nap-deprived little man turned into a pumpkin. See what I did there?!

If only I was looking at the shiny keys my mom was shaking off to the side.
This horse riding thing is easier minus the horse

Cutest sunflower seed ever.

Hay there.

Gourd-geous, huh?

As my dad labeled it, "punk in patch"

The true highlight of Max's vist--pushing he wheel barrow

America's Next Top Models

Elisa and Max recently spent an hour on a windy Sunday with our friend Kerry Carty. Kerry is starting her photography business and was nice enough to to include Elisa and Max in her shoot for Northwest Children's Fund.
And check out more of Kerry's beautiful work at her blog here: www.KerryCarty.com
