The best job in the world

Someone told before I had kids that being a dad is the hardest and best job you'll ever have. And for me, it's a career I absolutely love.

To all the dads out there putting in work... Happy Father's Day!

Kinder grad

Max's last day of kindergarten was today, but we had a nearly weeklong celebration. We couldn't be more proud of our creative and sweet little soon-to-be first grader.

Last Friday, both sets of grandparents came to Max's school for the kindergarten assembly. You can watch some cute highlights here: http://youtu.be/FvzkxCJyb-4

We then got a photo op with his K/1 classmates...

And amazing teachers, Ms. Kang and Mrs. Dayna.

Then home for a nice family dinner.

And who doesn't deserve a strawberry cake for knocking out kindergarten?!

The highlight of the day for the boys may have been the two-hour long water balloon fight. Sam was a trooper.

And the kids got to ditch the school uniforms the final week for pajamas...

Twins day...

And the grand finale, Crazy Hair and Dress Day.

Here's to an equally crazy summer!

Tastes like summer

A poet and he knows it

Max got a chance to showcase his artistic and poetry skills at a recent after-school event. His kindergarten teacher said he's a super creative kid... and not just when he poses for pictures.

Play Ball!

Max's Little League team, which I help coach, came to the Mariners game on Sunday. In fact, the Blue Rockets helped get the game started.

Watch them yell, "Play ball," seconds before the first pitch. [video]

Now check it out from Isaiah's perspective, the kid with the GoPro in the front row. [video]

The boys did such a good job, they were MSN's Photo of the Day.

All in all it was a big day for these Little Leaguers.
