Stick a fork in it

I know the food is mediocre and there's about a thousand other locations, but I'm gonna miss the Old Spaghetti Factory in downtown Seattle when it closes next month.

My parents used to take me when I was a kid. There's nothing like spaghetti, salad, and spumoni ice cream served inside a trolley. Glad I got to share that memory with my boys one more time before Seattle progressed again.

Guess what we watched for the first time tonight

Rain train

What to do on a soggy vacation day in the house? What else? You make a rain train.

We had tickets and Sam's animals came along for trips to New York, Hawaii and a volcano. Oh, and I added audio courtesy of a ten-minute loop of YouTube sound effects.

Woo-woo indeed.

You can go home again

During his Thanksgiving break from 2nd grade, Max returned to his alma mater and joined his brother at PlayGarden this morning.

They made crafts, did circle time, sang songs and painted (themselves). And of course big brother had to teach his little brother the fine art of catching chickens.

Purple, gold and the Greenes

We were on hand for the Huskies final home game of the season. At least we were on hand for about 2/3rds of it. Light rail rides, tailgating and football can be exhausting.

All FOUR Sam!

It's tough to put into words how much joy, love and craziness our little man Sam brings into our life every day.  So instead of trying to describe it, I'll let a few pictures from the past two years of Sam tell the story.

Happy 4th Birthday, Sam O!

Vote! Vote! Vote!

And if you want an idea of who we're supporting...

So get out there and...

Don't forget to head to the polls. If you need inspiration, just check out the get-out-the-vote rally Max's 2nd grade class threw after school.
