Looking back at the times I turned the camera around over the past year, I realize I have much to be thankful for. 

I also realize I take a lot of selfies for a grown man.

Happy Birthday to our sweet, crazy, sometimes destructive, but all together lovable Sam.

 Whatever his name is, he brings joy into our lives everyday.

Sam’s donut-fueled octopus-themed 5th birthday bash

Sam turns 5 on Saturday, but we celebrated early last Sunday.

His party had everything a soon-to-be 5 year old could want including mom's homemade glazed cider donuts, an octopus theme based on his favorite purple bath toy Octovio, friends, family, cake, presents and some messy games of Pie Face.

Congratulations to Seattle's new mayor Jenny Durkan. I know a couple of early supporters who might make good interns!

It was a kick

The final whistle blew on Max's fourth season of soccer. I had a fun group of kids and two great assistant coaches.
