Took the boys and a friend out to Seahawks practice where they watched a little football, ate a lot, met the hawk and got a few autographs from the Hawks!

Max meets an American hero - Part 2

Pretty cool moment during this week's #AllStarGame⁠ ⁠when Max spotted SFC Leroy Petry in the pre-game festivities.

Max met him 5 years ago at the ballpark and SFC Petry presented Max with a military coin.

Bicycle Sunday!

Ever since he started up on two wheels, Sam has been asking about when we could do Bicycle Sunday. During a handful of summer Sundays the city shuts down a 3.5-mile stretch of road along the lake between our house and Seward Park to motorized vehicles.

Sam has done the route pushed in a stroller, pulled in the trailer behind my bike and pedaled a portion of the ride on his training wheels. Finally, today was the day to do it all on two wheels.

And do it he did.

He refused to stop until we reached the end at Seward Park where we stopped for lunch, playground time and of course, a popsicle.

He rode all the way back home, stopping to play with a friend at a nearby park with a friend. Then, in true Energizer Bunny fashion, demanded to ride his skateboard as soon as we got home.

Oh, and it was the hottest day of the year, topping out at 93 degrees!

Nothing was going to stop Sam from his first official Bicycle Sunday.

The next John McEnroe?

He's got the voice and attitude, now Sam just needs the tennis skills to be the next McEnroe. Today he had his first lesson and loved every minute of it!

We rang in America's 242nd birthday with numerous friends, two fireworks shows over two days, two parties, a parade and for Sam and me, the title of 2018 Egg Toss champions. 

It was a happy, happy Fourth for our foursome!
