Macklemore!

Our family got an early Christmas Eve Eve present. All of us went to the sold out Macklemore show at KeyArena.

The kids had a great time and even got to hang out at the after party with some of the performers. More importantly for them, they got to have a late-night soda.

Christmas indeed came early!

Last-minute Christmas shipping

Last night for the second year in a row we joined our good friends the Hofmeisters and their family aboard the Christmas Ships.

For over 60 years these boats have gone out around Seattle to broadcast live caroling to parks and communities around the shoreline. Several smaller vessels follow along decked out in Christmas lights. We've watched in the past from our neighborhood beach next to a bonfire and now listened on board, as well.

It's a really special Northwest tradition that's a highlight for our family each year.

Sunday fun day

Sam took his first trip on skates, we met some Star Wars characters and Max got a shocking new hairdo at the Science Center.

Yeah, I'd say it was a fun day indeed.

Lighten up!

A stroll through the lights on Candy Cane Lane put 50% of our elves in the holiday spirit. Our oldest was feeling a little bah humbug.

Oh well, our Grinch perked up later on and was back to his holly jolly self.

No work and all PlayGarden

I took the day off to hang out with Sam and his preschool pals today. We played tag, sang songs, made a makeshift menorah, ate, laughed and cried. (a few of the kids, not me)

It was a full and fun day.

Like mother, like son

Max has begun to showing interest in Elisa's favorite hobby, cooking.

Our little Greene gourmet has been taking after school cooking classes one day a week for the past couple of months.

He culminated his culinary adventure this past Tuesday.
