Thanksgiving wasn't the same this year, but the four of us made the best of it. Elisa cooked up a storm snd we were thankful for a great meal and each other!

Happy Birthday, Sam O! Make 8 great!!
Happy 8th Birthday to our crazy, little creature!
While it has been a challenging 2020 for everyone, Sam continues to provide us with ample amounts of joy and sunlight even in the darkest days.
We love him so and can't wait to see what the year ahead brings.
But before we blowout the candles, let's look back at Sam's past 366 days.

Halloween 2020.
It was a Halloween unlike any we've ever had and hopefully will ever have to have again! But... we made the best of it.
Sam went as Marshmello, a famous DJ, who Sam had never heard of, but he loved the mask.
Max discovered this creature from a used car lot on a search for inflatible costumes on Azmazon
We did some parading/trick-or-treating.
Our neighbors had tables or chutes set up to keep everyone safe!
Our neighbors had tables or chutes set up to keep everyone safe!
And we handed out candy in front of our house from the skeleton chute we built on the left!
Happy Halloween from the gang Greene!

A first day of school unlike any other
The new school year started today for the boys. Max moved up to 6th grade and middle school and Sam O. began 2nd grade. Our guys took their traditional blue door pictures and then promptly went right back in the blue door to start their classes at home and online.
Seattle Schools are starting with two hours a day for the first week of orientation, technical training and get-to-know-you time before moving into a more traditional school day online.
We hope to get our kids back to school school soon, but for now we're thankful that they're healthy and safe at home. We're also thankful for a strong internet connection!

Goodbye, elementary school!
It's hard to believe, but Max is all done with elementary school. It has been an amazing journey at John Muir watching him grow from a shy kindergartner who once cried when the teacher read a stroy about parents to a sassy fifth grader who sometimes made his parents cry! We're proud of all he's acomplashed and the young man he's become. We're especially proud of how hard he's worked during these final three months at home.
Next stop... middle school!
First, a look back at Max's last week!
First day of kindergarten to one of the last days of 5th grade. Notice any difference?!
We had to take the blue door pics. Note the boys school shirts... no more uniforms for Max!
This little critter is off to 2nd grade
Online Zoom graduation with Max's class
Mom (and the guy who took this photo) were fighting back tears
Brotherly love
Sam (and his dinosaur) saying goodbye to his class and showing off his new helmet.
We ❤️ John Muir!
Congrats Max!
Go Sam O!
John Muir held a drive-thru graduation celebration at the school for the 5th graders

Sign of the times!
Firing off poppers to celebrate
We were able to keep our last day of school ice cream from Full Tilt tradition alive
Max chose poke for his special graduation dinner
The boys got remote control cars and LED lights for their bike wheels as graduation presents and recognition for all their hard work these past few months
Then they rode off into the night to start their summer and bright future ahead
