Starstruck

Let me see if I can put our visit to see Thomas the Tank Engine last week in perspective.

If you're a Baby Boomer, it was like meeting one of the Beatles.

If you're Gen Xer, like me, it would be like coming face-to-face with Michael Jordan.

And if you're a tween girl right now, just picture going backstage to meet Biebs.

Get it?

Thomas is a huge deal to the toddler boy set, as was evidenced by the munchkin mob scene in Snoqualmie sporting train gear and clutching $20 toy trains.

But, what can I say? It was something Max looked forward to all week and it made his day. And as a parent, you can't ask for much more than that.

The Greenes and Max's hero
A Thomas tattoo that didn't get washed off for three days
This creepy fellow is Thomas' boss, Sir Topham Hatt
A table, tracks and trains = Max's happy place
A ride on Thomas. #Priceless
