Use The Force, Max

Star Wars Night at Safeco Field was Friday, June 19th. And while we had close to 40 potential characters at the ballpark to deliver the first pitch, including Darth Vader, we didn't have the main Jedi hero... Luke Skywalker.

That was until one of my co-workers suggested a certain shaggy blonde you know pretty well might be able to do it.  What followed was an out-of-this-galaxy experience for Max (not to menton his family and friends).

Check out the photos, posts and video below.

Little Luke was calm and focussed beforehand despite the presence of Stormtroopers.

A true hero is not afraid to run towards danger...

Even if...

It's his father.

On the hill.

Post-pitch red carpet walk.

Post-pitch photo with dad.

Photo with dad and Mariners Hall of Famer Edgar Martinez. No big deal.

I may be biased, but I think this would may a good poster for the new Star Wars movie.

Max joined forces at the game with one of his Star-Wars-obsessed best friends, Henry.

Even his kindergarten teachers came out for the big night. Here's Ms. Kang.

And Mrs. Dayna.

Caution: This photo might cause you to see double.

After a great post-game fireworks show, the fun continued in the parking lot long past our two Jedis' bedtimes.

MLB's tweet about the pitch.

The Mariners Instagram post.

And without further ado, here is Max, I mean Luke's first pitch.

And here's what it looked like from the stands:
